A Season for the Feeder and Festivities

The arrival of gray cloudy skies, snow showers, and colder weather came just as expected. It's strangely comforting in a year when so much has been unexpected. And just as reliable is the change of seasons is the arrival of the winter birds — the American robin, the dark-eyed Oregon Junco, the Mountain Chickadee, and the Northern Flicker. They visit our feeder as we watch for the first time from the windows of our new home. None of them seem worried or troubled. As certain as the November skies, the birds know they'll be fed.

“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes?Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?" (Matthew 6:25-27)

The flock in our new neighborhood reminds us of God's certain care for us, His promise to provide for our needs. It's the same assurance we've exchanged over the last month with national partners in places like the Middle East, Eastern Europe, and South Asia. Out of His storehouse abundant beyond our comprehension, God supplies.

God's persistent provision leaves us grateful. November skies draw us into a time of Thanks+giving, inviting us to let our gratitude overflow in gifts to others. Festivities sparked by God's steadfast supply.

This year Live Global is sharing our Global Gifts for Christmas 2020. It's the first time we've provided a Christmas giving catalog, and we're praying God will use it as a way to distribute good gifts from His storehouse to those in need.

In the Global Gifts for Christmas 2020 guide you'll find two easy to use digital magazines with descriptions and links to give gifts ranging from a pair of shoes or a blanket to a goat or a sound studio.

  • One magazine is organized with gifts $500 or less and another for $500 or more.

  • Enjoy the beautiful images and use the Global Gifts for Christmas 2020 guide as a prayer guide to ask God how He might use you to supply.
