God Makes the Impossible Possible
When we met a courageous, national partner in the Middle East, God quickly connected our hearts. Who would've guessed God had provided technology for such a time as this, so global relationships and work together can continue and even grow? Technology has allowed us to know this new woman of courage. G builds relationships with women in an unreached people group of the 10/40 Window. After traveling to a Sub-Saharan village, G wrote about a meeting on the train.
“I was half asleep on my seat when I sensed God wanted to tell me something. He made it very clear to me that I should start a conversation with the man sitting next to me. I offered him some seeds as a snack, and also some water. We talked about differences in cultures, specific habits, and traditions. Then I led the conversation towards God. I asked him for his name, and he said, ‘Mohammed’ ... He added, it doesn't matter which religion we come from. Let's continue our talk. So I shared my testimony with him, trying to do this in a way he would understand. I also included the parable of the young ruler from the New Testament.”
The people group G ministers to has the New Testament in their language, but they are 0% evangelical. There are virtually no believers in Jesus among them. Family honor is precious to this group, so G will be planning a festival for Mother’s Day as she nurtures her friendships with the women and children. Please pray for God to open doors for her, and pray for us as we nurture our relationship with tools for such a time as this.
In the parable of the young ruler that G shared with Mohammed, “Jesus said, 'With people it is impossible, but not with God; for all things are possible with God,'” (Mark 10:27).
